Installation of filtration plants for clean drinking water at 40 schools in the rural areas of Pune & Raigad districts. The schools currently do not have clean drinking water and children are often ill due to impure water. The total cost of the project is over £30,000 and includes cost of filtration plant and five year follow up service. The plant is supplied by a local supplier “Membrane Filters” at below cost. Muskaan contributed £23,000 towards the project and the remainder from local sources. Over 20,000 children and their families have benefited from the clean drinking water installation.
